CARE Hospitals launches mobile community outreach initiative covering residential areas, parks, community centres and senior citizen clubs
Hyderabad, September 16: Basic health screenings are set to move closer to Hyderabad communities with the launch of ‘Swasth Rath’, a mobile healthcare outreach initiative by CARE Hospitals aimed at improving access to preventive health checks and encouraging early detection of potential health concerns.
The specially equipped vehicle will travel to neighbourhoods, residential communities, public parks, community centres, senior citizen clubs and other locations across the city, allowing people to access basic health screenings closer to where they live.
The initiative is also expected to create awareness about the importance of regular health checks, particularly among people who may otherwise postpone routine screening until symptoms appear.
Swasth Rath was flagged off at CARE Hospitals, Malakpet, by Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi, MLC, AIMIM, along with Murari, Inspector of Police, Chadarghat; Praveen Kumar Edla, Hospital Chief Operating Officer, CARE Hospitals, Malakpet; Dr Sridhar, MOD; and senior doctors from the hospital.
Speaking at the launch, Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi said taking basic healthcare services into communities could help more people pay attention to their health.
“Timely health check-ups can help identify many health concerns at an early stage. By taking screenings directly to neighbourhoods and community spaces, initiatives such as Swasth Rath can make preventive healthcare more accessible to people,” he said.
Murari, Inspector of Police, Chadarghat, said community outreach programmes can help improve awareness by connecting health services directly with people in their neighbourhoods.
Praveen Kumar Edla said the initiative is intended to encourage a more preventive approach to health.
“Many people tend to think about a health check-up only when they experience a problem. Through Swasth Rath, we want to take basic screenings closer to communities and encourage people to pay attention to their health early,” he said.
People participating in the outreach programme will also be offered complimentary memberships to CARE Sangham, CARE Hospitals’ family-focused community connect initiative, and Pranaam, its engagement platform for senior citizens.
Through Swasth Rath, CARE Hospitals plans to expand community-level engagement around preventive healthcare and make basic health screening opportunities more accessible across Hyderabad.
